The market in 2026
What ₹1.25 lakh buys in a gaming laptop right now
I went through Amazon and Flipkart listings between ₹1 lakh and ₹1.25 lakh. This price band is where the RTX 4050 laptops live. Below it, around ₹90,000, you get the RTX 3050 6GB, and I cover those in my under 80000 and under 1 lakh guides.
A lot of listings here are traps, though. On Flipkart I found 4GB versions of the same laptop names, such as the TUF A15 and a Victus with 4GB graphics. I only picked laptops where the product title or listing clearly says RTX 4050 with 6GB.
This is the number most buyers miss. The RTX 4050 is the same chip in every laptop here, but the maker decides how many watts it gets. Lenovo lists 65W for the LOQ Essential and 105W for the bigger LOQ 15IRX9. HP, ASUS and Acer do not publish it on the listings I checked, so I cannot tell you where they land.

I keep coming back to this laptop for one reason. Every other RTX 4050 laptop in this price band makes you accept a dull screen or a heavy body. The LOQ Essential does not. Lenovo lists a 15.6 inch IPS panel with 144Hz, 300 nits and 100% sRGB, and the whole laptop weighs 1.8 kg.
Performance. The Ryzen 7 7735HS has eight cores and sixteen threads. The RTX 4050 has 6GB of GDDR6 and Lenovo lists a graphics power of 65W with a 2145MHz boost clock. That is lower than the 105W Lenovo gives the same chip in the bigger LOQ 15IRX9, so expect fewer frames than that laptop in the longest, hardest games. A 4050 averages about 7,679 in Time Spy graphics, well above a 3050 6GB at about 4,631.
The screen. It is a 15.6 inch full HD IPS panel, 144Hz, 300 nits, anti-glare, with 100% sRGB. Under ₹1.25 lakh this is the best display I found. The HP Victus lists 62.5% sRGB and the Acer Aspire 7 about 45% NTSC.
The RAM catch. The Amazon listing shows one 16GB DDR5-4800 stick with a maximum of 16GB, so it is limited to 16GB and runs in single channel. There are two M.2 slots, so extra storage is easy to add. If you plan to run heavy apps or large AI models, think about that limit before buying.
Price and stores. Amazon lists it at ₹1,14,990 on 22 October 2026, and Flipkart shows a listing at the same price. Prices change daily, so check both.
Lenovo LOQ Essential (Ryzen 7 7735HS, RTX 4050 6GB) vs the competition. It has a better screen and a published GPU power figure compared with the Victus, V16 and Aspire 7, but it is the least upgradeable on RAM.

The V16 is the sensible, no drama pick. It has a Core 5 210H, a 4050, 16GB of DDR5 and a 16 inch screen with the taller 16:10 shape, which I prefer to a 16:9 screen for anything that is not a game. It costs about ₹4,000 less than the LOQ Essential.
What you get. The listing shows an Intel Core 5 210H (8 cores, 12 threads, up to 4.8GHz), an RTX 4050 laptop GPU, 16GB of DDR5, a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD and a 16 inch FHD+ (1920×1200) 144Hz screen at 300 nits. It also includes Microsoft 365 Basic for a year and Office Home 2024.
What is missing. ASUS does not publish the RTX 4050 graphics power on this listing, and I did not find a weight or colour coverage figure on the page I checked. I will not guess them.
Price. Amazon lists it at about ₹1,10,999 on 22 October 2026.

The Victus has been a safe pick for years, and the version with an RTX 4050 is the one that makes sense. The Ryzen 7 7445HS has six cores and twelve threads, enough for gaming, and HP gives you proper ports.
What you get. The Amazon listing shows a Ryzen 7 7445HS (up to 4.7GHz, 6 cores, 12 threads), an RTX 4050 laptop GPU with 6GB of GDDR6, 16GB of DDR5-5600 as a single 16GB module, and a 512GB NVMe SSD. The ports are HDMI 2.1, RJ-45, two USB-A and a USB-C with Power Delivery and DisplayPort 1.4a.
The screen. It is a 15.6 inch full HD IPS panel at 144Hz and 300 nits, but HP lists only 62.5% sRGB. It is fine for games and weaker than the LOQ Essential for photos and video.
Price and stores. Amazon lists it at ₹1,12,990 on 22 October 2026. Flipkart lists a 7445HS and RTX 4050 model (15-fb3118AX) at ₹1,18,709, so Amazon is the better price.

The Aspire 7 is the price winner. At ₹1,00,750 on Amazon it is the cheapest RTX 4050 laptop I found, and it saves you ₹10,000 to ₹14,000 compared with the others here. The price is the reason to buy it. The screen is the reason to think twice.
What you get. Acer lists a Core 5 210H, an RTX 4050 with 6GB of video memory, 16GB of DDR4 on a SODIMM, a 512GB SSD, a 54Wh battery and a 150W adapter. It weighs about 1.99 kg.
The compromises. The panel is 144Hz but about 45% NTSC, which looks washed out next to the LOQ Essential. Acer does not publish the graphics power. One year of warranty is standard, and Acer service reach is thinner in smaller cities.
Price. Amazon lists it at ₹1,00,750 on 22 October 2026. Acer’s own store showed ₹1,12,999 earlier this week, so check the price on both before buying.
Acer Aspire 7 A715-79G (Core 5 210H, RTX 4050 6GB) vs the competition. It costs about ₹14,000 less than the LOQ Essential, with the same RTX 4050 6GB, but a much weaker screen and no published GPU power.

These numbers come from a published independent test of a Lenovo LOQ 15 with a Ryzen 7 7840HS and an RTX 4050. The laptops in this guide have a different CPU and some run the GPU at lower power, so treat the numbers as a guide and not a promise.

Numbers are averages from a published test of a Lenovo LOQ 15 with an RTX 4050. We did not run these benchmarks ourselves. Game updates and drivers change results.
RTX 4050 or RTX 3050 6GB: is the extra money worth it?
Both chips have 2560 CUDA cores and 6GB of memory on a 96-bit bus, but the RTX 4050 laptop averages about 7,679 in Time Spy graphics against 4,631 for the RTX 3050 6GB, roughly 66% higher. It also adds DLSS 3 frame generation and an AV1 hardware encoder. The extra ₹10,000 to ₹25,000 is worth it, in my opinion.

Will new and upcoming games run on an RTX 4050 laptop?
Every studio publishes a minimum and a recommended graphics card. The RTX 4050 laptop scores about 7,679 in Time Spy graphics, above the older RTX 2060 laptop chip (about 6,141), so it clears most minimums with room to spare.

Requirements are the studios’ published figures, collected in October 2026. The RTX 4050 column is Geekman’s reading of where the chip sits against those tiers, not a benchmark result. Real results depend on the laptop’s GPU power limit, the CPU and the settings.
What this means for your buying decision
You play Valorant, CS2, Fortnite, GTA V and similar: any laptop here works, so pick the cheapest, the Acer Aspire 7.
You want new big games at Medium to High with DLSS: the LOQ Essential or the V16.
You also edit photos or video: the LOQ Essential, for its screen.
You want High settings at 60 fps in every new release: an RTX 4050 will not do that at 6GB, so look at RTX 5050 and RTX 4060 laptops above ₹1.25 lakh.
You are buying for GTA 6: wait. It is console only for now and no PC date exists.
AI and video
Can these laptops run local AI and AI agents?
Small models, yes. 6GB of video memory runs 3B to 4B parameter models comfortably at Q4 quality, and 8B models are tight. I would run heavier models through a cloud API and keep the laptop for tools and code. All four laptops have NVIDIA GPUs, which most local AI tools prefer.

1 · Why the 4GB trap exists
Stores list several versions of one laptop name with different graphics. On Flipkart I saw TUF and Victus listings with only 4GB of graphics memory at similar prices. Read the full title, and match it to the model in this guide.
2 · Why GPU wattage matters more than the name
Laptop GPUs run anywhere from 35W to 115W for the RTX 4050. Lenovo lists 65W for the LOQ Essential and 105W for the LOQ 15IRX9. A higher number usually means more frames.
3 · The single RAM stick trap
Some laptops ship with one 16GB stick, which runs in single channel and is slower than two sticks. The LOQ Essential lists a 16GB maximum and the Victus has one module. The Acer Aspire 7 uses upgradable DDR4.
4 · Screens in this price band
Many gaming laptops here have panels around 45% to 62% sRGB, which look washed out for photos and video. The LOQ Essential is the exception with 100% sRGB.
5 · Battery reality
Gaming on battery lasts under an hour on laptops like these. For web and video, expect a few hours. Plan to plug in for games.
6 · Crossed out prices
Flipkart and brand stores show large crossed out prices. Ignore them and look at the real price, then check which bank offer applies at checkout.
7 · Warranty and service
Most of these list one year. Keep the invoice, register the laptop on day one and note the nearest service centre.
Other gaming laptops I looked at
ASUS TUF A16 (2026) with RTX 4050 (₹1,24,990). It comes with only 8GB of RAM at that price, which I do not recommend in 2026.
HP Victus with Core i5-13420H and RTX 4050. It costs ₹1,08,400 on Amazon and ₹1,18,900 on Flipkart. It is an older CPU and lands just behind the Ryzen Victus above.
Lenovo LOQ 15IRX9. It lists 105W for the RTX 4050, the highest power I found. I cover it in my under 1 lakh guide.

Buyers keep asking these and the top guides rarely answer them. I checked each against the makers’ own spec pages (last checked 22 October 2026).
1 · Does the RTX wattage matter more than the card name?
Yes, it can. The same RTX chip runs at different power limits in different laptops. Lenovo lists the RTX 4050 at 65W in the LOQ Essential and 105W in the LOQ i7 model, and the RTX 5050 at 100W in the LOQ 2025 and 115W in the Legion 5. Some makers, like ASUS on the Gaming V16, do not publish it at all. Compare the wattage line when it is listed, and treat a missing number as a question mark.
2 · Will the screen show true colours if I also edit videos or photos?
Check the panel before you buy. Several gaming laptops list only about 62.5% of sRGB, which looks muted, and I left the HP Victus R7 260 and the Alienware 15 out of my editing guides for that reason. Look for a listing that says 100% sRGB, and read the maker’s page rather than the shop title.
