Short answer: buy the Lenovo LOQ 2025 (RTX 5050, 100W, 1TB) for the best mix of power and price. For the highest power, the Lenovo Legion 5 lists 115W. The ASUS Gaming V16 at ₹1,39,990 is the cheapest RTX 5050 laptop I found.
Geekman has covered consumer tech for over 10 years, and this ranking is built the way our buying guides always are: research first, then a hard look at the numbers. For every model we compared official specs, GPU memory and power, display, memory, price, warranty and service reach, and checked live prices on Amazon.
The market in 2026
What an RTX 5050 laptop costs in India right now
I went through Amazon listings of RTX 5050 laptops, which run from ₹1.4 lakh to about ₹2 lakh. Every laptop here has the same chip, an RTX 5050 with 8GB of GDDR7, and the price gap comes from graphics power, CPU, screen and storage. If your budget is lower, my under 1 lakh guide covers the RTX 4050 and RTX 3050 options.
I did not include the HP Omen, Alienware 16 Aurora or TUF A16, because they cost ₹1.65 lakh to ₹2 lakh and are better covered in a premium guide.

This is the number most buyers miss. The RTX 5050 can run anywhere from 35W to 100W, and up to 115W with Dynamic Boost, depending on the laptop. Lenovo lists 115W on the Legion 5 and 100W on the LOQ, ASUS lists up to 115W on the TUF F16, and HP, Dell and ASUS (V16) do not publish it on the listings I checked.
The ranking
How I ranked these RTX 5050 laptops
Each laptop gets a score out of 10 for performance (40%), value (40%) and service (20%). Performance covers the GPU power, the CPU, the screen and the RAM. Value is price against what you get and what you can upgrade. Service looks at warranty and how easy it is to get help.

If you want an RTX 5050 and do not want to overpay for a badge, this is the one. Lenovo lists 100W for the graphics, a 14-core Core i7-13650HX, 1TB of storage and two RAM slots, and the price is the lowest of the Core i7 models here.
Performance. The Core i7-13650HX has 14 cores (6 performance and 8 efficiency) and 20 threads. The RTX 5050 Laptop GPU has 2,560 CUDA cores and 8GB of GDDR7. Lenovo lists the graphics power at 100W, near the top of the 35W to 100W range Notebookcheck gives for this chip.
Screen and memory. It is a 15.6 inch full HD IPS panel, 144Hz, 300 nits, anti-glare, with 100% sRGB. The listing shows 16GB of DDR5-4800 as one stick in two SODIMM slots, with up to 32GB supported, so you can add a second stick later.
The catch. It weighs 2.4 kg, the heaviest of the six, and it is not a carry-every-day laptop.
Price and stores. Amazon lists it at ₹1,48,990 on 22 October 2026. I could not match this exact model on Flipkart.

The Legion 5 is the premium pick. Lenovo lists a 115W graphics power, the highest of any RTX 5050 laptop I found, plus a 165Hz WUXGA screen with 100% sRGB, Dolby Vision and a 250W vapor chamber cooling system.
Performance. The listing shows an RTX 5050 with 8GB of GDDR7, a 2662MHz boost clock, a TGP of 115W and 440 AI TOPs. It pairs it with a Core i7-13650HX, the same 14-core processor as the LOQ. Lenovo describes a 250W vapor chamber with Hyper Chamber technology for cooling.
Screen and memory. The panel is WUXGA (1920×1200) IPS at 165Hz, 300 nits, 100% sRGB, with Dolby Vision. The listing shows 16GB of DDR5-4800 as one stick, up to 32GB, and two M.2 slots with 512GB installed.
The catch. It costs ₹14,000 more than the LOQ 2025 with half the storage. You are paying for the 115W, the screen and the cooling.

The V16 is the sensible RTX 5050 laptop. It is the cheapest I found, weighs 1.95 kg and has a taller 16:10 screen. The trade is a smaller Core 5 210H processor and no published graphics power.
What you get. The listing shows an Intel Core 5 210H (8 cores, 12 threads, up to 4.8GHz), an RTX 5050 Laptop GPU with 8GB of GDDR7, 16GB of DDR5, a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD and a 63Wh battery. Microsoft Office Home 2024 and a year of Microsoft 365 Basic come with it.
The screen. The panel is 16 inches at 1920×1200, 16:10, 144Hz and 300 nits, and ASUS lists 100% Adobe color gamut, which is a claim and not a measured result.
What is missing. ASUS does not publish the RTX 5050 graphics power on this listing, so I cannot tell you where it sits in the 35W to 100W range. Check the box or ask the seller.
Price. Amazon lists it at ₹1,39,990 on 22 October 2026. I could not match it on Flipkart.
ASUS Gaming V16 2026 (Core 5 210H, RTX 5050 8GB) vs the competition. It is ₹9,000 cheaper and 0.45 kg lighter than the LOQ 2025, but the CPU is smaller and the GPU power is not published.

RTX 5050 or RTX 4050: which is better value?
On paper the RTX 5050 laptop has 2,560 CUDA cores, 8GB of video memory and a 35W to 100W range. Notebookcheck rates it about 14% above the RTX 4050 laptop, and about 20% higher in 3DMark Steel Nomad Light. It also supports DLSS 4. The 4050 has 6GB, but when ASUS runs it at 140W it makes up some of the difference. I would pay extra for the 8GB, because new games are asking for it. If you want to see the RTX 4050 options, they start around ₹1 lakh in my under 1 lakh guide.

Will new and upcoming games run on an RTX 5050 laptop?
Every studio publishes a minimum and a recommended graphics card. Here is where the RTX 5050 sits against the biggest releases of the next few weeks.
| Game | Studio’s GPU tiers | RTX 5050 8GB |
|---|---|---|
| Gears of War: E-Day, 6 Oct 2026 | Min: RTX 2060, RTX 5050, RX 6600. Rec: RTX 5060, RTX 3060 Ti. 8GB VRAM advised | Meets the minimum and the memory advice |
| Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, 23 Oct 2026 | Min: GTX 1060, RX 470, Arc A580. Rec: RTX 3060 Ti for 90 fps on High | Well above the minimum. Medium to High |
| Phantom Blade Zero, 29 Oct 2026 | Min: GTX 1660 6GB (1080p, 30 fps, upscaling). Rec: RTX 3060 Ti | Above the minimum |
| Path of Exile 2 (1.0), 11 Dec 2026 | Min: GTX 960. Rec: about an RTX 2060 | Comfortable |
| GTA 6, 19 Nov 2026 (PS5, Xbox only) | No PC version announced | Nothing to test yet |
Requirements are the studios’ published figures, collected in October 2026. The RTX 5050 column is Geekman’s reading of where the chip sits against those tiers, not a benchmark result. Real results depend on the laptop’s GPU power, the CPU and the settings.
What this means for your buying decision
You want the best mix of power and price: the Lenovo LOQ 2025.
You want the highest power and the best screen: the Lenovo Legion 5 at 115W.
You want the lowest price: the ASUS Gaming V16.
You want a 16:10 screen with 100% sRGB: the ASUS TUF F16 2026.
You want 24GB of RAM and 1TB included: the HP Victus.
You want ultra settings in every new game: look at RTX 5060 and RTX 5070 laptops above ₹1.8 lakh.
You are buying for GTA 6: wait. It is console only for now and no PC date exists.
AI and video
Can these laptops run local AI and AI agents?

With 8GB of video memory, an RTX 5050 laptop runs 7B to 8B parameter models at 4-bit quality. For larger models and coding agents I would use a cloud API and keep the laptop for tools and code. All six laptops have NVIDIA GPUs, which most local AI tools prefer.

The buying guide
How to choose an RTX 5050 gaming laptop
⚡
GPU wattage
Same chip, 100W to 115W. More watts, more frames.
💾
Storage
Two laptops include 1TB, the rest have 512GB.
🧩
RAM slots
Check slots and the maximum before you buy.
🖥️
Screen
Look for 100% sRGB if you also edit.
1 · Why GPU wattage matters more than the name
An RTX 5050 laptop can run anywhere from 35W to 100W, and up to 115W with Dynamic Boost. The Legion 5 lists 115W, the LOQ lists 100W and the TUF F16 lists up to 115W. A higher number usually means more frames.
2 · Check for the 4GB and 6GB trap
Stores list several versions of one laptop name with different graphics. Make sure the title says RTX 5050 8GB, and match the full model to this guide.
3 · The single RAM stick trap
Most of these laptops ship with one RAM stick, which runs in single channel and is slower than two. The LOQ and Legion support up to 32GB with two slots, so you can add a second stick.
4 · Screens in this price band
The LOQ, Legion 5 and TUF F16 list 100% sRGB. The HP Victus and Alienware 15 list only 62.5% sRGB, which looks washed out for photos and video.
5 · Weight and daily carry
The Legion 5 weighs about 2.1 kg, the V16 about 1.95 kg, the TUF F16 2.2 kg, the Alienware 2.25 kg, the Victus 2.29 kg and the LOQ 2.4 kg. If you carry the laptop to college, the V16 is the easy one.
6 · Battery reality
Gaming on battery lasts under an hour on laptops like these. For web and video, expect a few hours. Plan to plug in for games.
7 · Warranty and service
Most of these list one year. Keep the invoice, register the laptop on day one and note the nearest service centre.
Other RTX 5050 laptops I looked at
Lenovo LOQ with Ryzen 7 250 (₹1,59,990). It costs more than the Core i7 LOQ with half the storage.
HP HyperX Omen 15 and Omen 16 (₹1,66,990 to ₹1,75,990). They cost more and sit above this budget.
ASUS TUF A16 2026 (₹1,99,990). It costs ₹40,000 more than the TUF F16.
RTX 4050 laptops. They start around ₹1 lakh. See my under 1 lakh guide.

Questions other guides skip
Gaming laptop questions most guides skip
Buyers keep asking these and the top guides rarely answer them. I checked each against the makers’ own spec pages (last checked 22 October 2026).
1 · Does the RTX wattage matter more than the card name?
Yes, it can. The same RTX chip runs at different power limits in different laptops. Lenovo lists the RTX 4050 at 65W in the LOQ Essential and 105W in the LOQ i7 model, and the RTX 5050 at 100W in the LOQ 2025 and 115W in the Legion 5. Some makers, like ASUS on the Gaming V16, do not publish it at all. Compare the wattage line when it is listed, and treat a missing number as a question mark.
2 · Will the screen show true colours if I also edit videos or photos?
Check the panel before you buy. Several gaming laptops list only about 62.5% of sRGB, which looks muted, and I left the HP Victus R7 260 and the Alienware 15 out of my editing guides for that reason. Look for a listing that says 100% sRGB, and read the maker’s page rather than the shop title.
3 · Is a single 16GB RAM stick a problem?
It can be. Many laptops here list one 16GB stick, which runs in single channel and gives less memory speed than two sticks. The listings I checked show room for a second stick on the LOQ 2025 and Legion 5, but the LOQ Essential lists a 16GB maximum. Check the maximum before you plan an upgrade.
4 · Can I play GTA 6 on a gaming laptop?
Not yet. GTA 6 has only been announced for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles, and I found no announced PC version on 22 October 2026. Do not pay extra for a laptop just for that game.

Why are gaming laptops so expensive in 2026?
Memory and graphics chips have become pricier as AI demand takes a big share of supply, and laptop makers have passed that on. An RTX 5050 laptop that would have cost around ₹1 lakh now sells for ₹1.4 lakh and up.

Should I buy an RTX 5050 laptop or save and get an RTX 5060?
RTX 5060 laptops start around ₹1.8 lakh in my search. If your budget stops at ₹1.5 lakh, the RTX 5050 is the sensible choice, and I would pick the Lenovo LOQ 2025.
