ASUS Vivobook 14

I know it breaks the 30000 Rs price bracket, but it is worth mentioning. After the global ship shortage and new GST rules in India, it is almost impossible to get the latest-gen Ryzen and Intel CPU-powered laptops under 30000 Rs; meanwhile, this Asus laptop offers a Ryzen 3d gen and Intel 10th gen with a 31000 Rs, along with SSD storage, so its value for money deal for those who are looking a budget laptop for multitasking use. This stylish and compact notebook has everything that we can expect from the best budget laptop in 2022.
The stylish design and powerful performance is the main highlight of this Asus laptop. With its beautiful design, the Asus also manages to offer decent build quality, as well. The best thing I like about this notebook is the keyboard. The keys are very comfortable for typing. There is enormous space between two keys that promise the ultimate typing experience.
The Asus Vivobook 14 may be compact and lightweight, but it punches way above its weight in terms of performance. It comes with AMD’s second last 3rd gen Ryzen 3 chipset along with 4GB DDR4 RAM and 256GB SSD. Another good thing is that you can quickly expand RAM up to 12GB and install a 1 x m2 SSD for ultimate performance. You will also have an 8GB variant option with this Asus laptop.
The Asus Vivobook 14 features a 14-inch LED-backlit panel with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels. The display is not full HD, which is also impossible to manage at this price point. Still, the color reproduction on this panel is very impressive for the price, as the colors appear more natural and vivid on this compact panel.
The laptop also comes with a fingerprint sensor, fast charging support, and a USB Type C port. The company also provides preinstalled MS Office 2021 along with Windows 11 Home.
Overall, the Asus Vivobook is the perfect combo of beauty and power and has all the features you are looking for in the best budget laptop of 2022, ideal for students (online classes) and professional office and home use.

RedmiBook 15

The RedmiBook 15 is our second choice on the list of best laptops under 30000 Rs. RedmiBook 15 is Xiaomi’s entry-level notebook and is especially aimed at students. The ReadmiBook 15 is basically Redmi doing what it does best, i.e., attain the lowest price possible with better specs.
It comes with Intel’s latest 11th-gen i3-1115G4 chipset, along with 8GB RAM (3200) and 256GB M.2 SSD. For a general-purpose laptop, the RedmiBook 15 has got ample power. Redmi is preloading these laptops with Windows 10 (Updated to Windows 11) and licensed copies of MS Office 2019.
The RedmiBook has a 15-inch, 1920×1080 resolution, 60Hz TN LCD panel. The display lacks color accuracy and good viewing angles as a TN panel, but OK, we have to compromise somewhere for the good specs.
Apart from the laptop comes with all the necessary connectivity ports. Coming to the battery, the laptop comes with a 46WHr battery, which is fairly typical for this price class; during my testing, it lasts up to 6 hours on 70% screen brightness.
On the design front, the RedmiBook 15 Pro has a simple and minimal design. It is also very slim and compact. The body is made entirely out of plastic with a matte finish. Overall, the build quality is good and justifies the price tag.
Overall, the RedmiBook 15 is a reasonably well-spec and well-performing machine. I highly recommend this machine to college students and office workers.

Acer Extensa 15

The Acer Extensa 15 is our next choice in the list of best laptops under 30000 Rs. This Acer laptop was recently launched in the Indian market with an Intel 11th gen i3 chipset (i3-1115G4). There is another laptop variant with an AMD Ryzen 3250U chipset; you can also buy that one.
On the design front, the exterior of this laptop is constructed from high-quality plastic materials, which offer you a premium feel. The laptop doesn’t look stylish, but a nice textured finish is on the top, enhancing this notebook’s overall look.
The onboard 4GB DDR4 RAM and 256 GB SSD provide the fastest performance with everyday applications such as Chrome browser, YouTube, and MS Office. Believe me, if you are looking for a good laptop for office use, it’s your ultimate choice.
The Acer Extensa 15 comes with a 15.6-inch HD (1080P) anti-glare display with thin side bezels. The anti-glare glass layer applied on the top of the display blocks unnecessary light reflections and reduces the stress on the eyes. Along with these, the laptop also comes with preinstalled latest Windows 11 and MS Office.
The notebook is powered by a 3-cell 41Wh lithium battery in the battery department that provides power backup for up to 5 hours with moderate to heavy use. The laptop has all the necessary connectivity options mentioned in the specification section.

Infinix INBook X1

Infinix has recently jumped into the growing laptop market, much like Realme and Xiaomi. With a target of younger buyers, the company boasts of a few features that people today look for, such as quick charging, fingerprint sensor, stylish design, and compact build.
If you ask me to describe this laptop’s build quality and design in just one word, it would be this – gorgeous! It looks very stylish and premium with a metal build and four different color options. The laptop is also lighter and compact enough to slide into a backpack easily.
Inside the stunningly stylish notebook is the Core i3 10th Gen
1005G1 chipset clocked at 3.8GHz. Yes, it’s not a powerful processor, but it is more than enough for daily essential productivity tasks such as MS Office work, Accounting, Video calls, and entertainment-related tasks. You also have NVme 256GB SSD and 8GB DDR4 RAM for faster booting speed.
Another main highlight of this notebook is the 65W USB Type-C fast charging support. Yes, you can also charge this laptop with a power bank. It has a 55Wh battery of 6-7h on normal use and 70% screen brightness. The laptop has a fingerprint sensor, a physical webcam switch, and a microphone for security and privacy.
The 14-inch FHD LCD screen on the notebook is average. It has a matte finish that avoids reflections, but the viewing angle and color product are just average. The keyboard on the laptop is good enough for relaxed typing and employs the standard scissor-switch build. There are bottom-firing stereo speakers with separate tweeters and woofers, plus DTS audio enhancement.

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3

This Ideapad Slim 3 is a pretty great laptop for casual users. This notebook was recently introduced in the Indian market with some refreshing design and upgraded hardware. This is the perfect choice if you are looking for stylish, premium-looking notebooks with decent performance. I highly recommend this laptop for business and home use.
The laptop comes with the Intel i3 10th gen 1005G1 chipset with 4GB DDR4 RAM and a 256GB SSD drive. You can also upgrade RAM up to 12 GB, and there is one empty drive slot for feature upgrades. Apart from this, it features a 14-inch FHD anti-glare display. Speaking of the display, the bezels on this Lenovo laptop is very minimal, and the quality of the display is also decent. But I miss the full HD panel.
I also like the keypad of this laptop; the keys are very soft and have enough keyspace, which offers you ultimate typing comfort. The battery life is also decent; it can last up to 5-6h on a single charge. The company also bundles MS Office 2021 with this budget laptop.
Overall, the Lenovo Ideapad Slim 3 is ideal for students (online classes) and professional office or business users.

HP Chromebook 14

The HP Chromebook 14 is the best Chromebook under 30000 Rs that you can buy right now. The HP Chromebook 14 is powered by the Dual-Core Intel Celeron N4020 CPU coupled with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB eMMC storage, which is expandable up to 256 gigs. Thanks to these configurations, the Chromebook 14 will not lag during your regular work. The Chromebooks are not made for extensive multitasking, and the story continues with the Chromebook 14. Although you can open multiple Google pages and YouTube at once, you might find the performance lagging.
The Chromebook 14 houses a 14-inch WLED backlit LCD touchscreen display with a resolution density of 1366×768 pixels. The sound quality is great, thanks to the top-firing speakers by Bang & Olufsen. The Chromebook 14 is a very comfortable laptop with a sleek and lightweight design. It weighs only about 1.46 kilograms, and carrying it around becomes a breeze. If you are a working professional who needs to travel a lot, you will not regret purchasing the Chromebook 14.
The Chromebook 14 also supports Voice-Enabled Google Assistant because you can carry out several tasks without needing to move even a finger. ChromeOS is as clean and fast as ever and boots up within seconds. You can also download your favorite applications on the Chromebook directly from the Google Play Store and install them. Regarding battery life, the Chromebook 14 is a beast, and it can easily last for about 8 to 10 hours on continuous use.
To sum things up, the Chromebook 14 is a great budget Chromebook available in India right now, and it is a great choice if you want a laptop for your basic office work or online classes. However, do not keep huge expectations from the laptop in terms of performance as it has not been developed for intense tasks.

Things to consider before buying a laptop with a 30000 Rs price budget.
30000 Budget is Enough For a Laptop?
30000 Rs price budget is the most preferable price range in the Indian market. This price range is more than enough for moderate users, like school & college students, office working users, or just home casual & entertainment users. It can easily handle – Microsoft Office, Web browsing, Video calls, Photoshop, Telly, and programming editor.
If you want to play high graphics games (PUBG PC, APEX, COD) or any other graphics-related work (Animation, high video editing, 3D design), then you need to upgrade your budget by at least 40000 Rs because you need a dedicated graphics card or at least Ryzen 5 3d gen chipset, which is not possible in this price range. Well, this is just a recommendation
Best Processor:
- Intel i3 11th gen > Ryzen 3 3d gen >= Intel i3 10th gen > Intel N6000 > > Intek N5000 > Intel N4 series
- Ryzen 5 3d gen & Intel i5 10 or 8th gen (not possible in this price range), for that you need to upgrade budget up to 40000 Rs.
- I don’t recommend you to buy Intel i3 8th gen or Ryzen 3 & 5 2nd gen chipset, for now.
Ryzen vs. Intel, under 30000?
After the new tax was implemented, the intel completely lost the battle in the budget segment. Now, it’s very hard to find the 10th gen i3 chipset in this price range. Yes, you can easily get 8th gen or below, but it’s not a value money option. So, Ryzen is the ultimate choice in this price range, for now.
If you are a multitasking user or want a laptop for casual gaming and graphics-related task, then Ryzen is the best choice. Because a dedicated graphics card in this price range is very rare, Ryzen’s integrated Vega GPU is very powerful and capable enough to play high graphics games at low settings.
RAM:
In this price range, most of the laptops have 4GB RAM. And it is enough for office work and casual use. But for multitasking use and batter speed, you definitely need at least 8GB RAM, so always keep an eye on expandable RAM. And for today’s use, I highly recommend you have at least 8 GB of RAM.
HDD & SSD:
Most of the laptop in this price range comes with a 1TB HDD drive. HDD is now old technology; you need an SSD drive for faster speed. Some laptops in this price range come with SSD, but it is a little bit costly, so I recommend everyone install SSD aftermarket. I always select those laptops on this list with an SSD upgrade option.
What about a graphics card?
A dedicated GPU in this price range is impossible, so you must settle for an integrated GPU. You have a Ryzen 5 with a Vega Eight combo at this price point, which is really more powerful than some entry-level Nvidia GPU.
Display, Battery, Connectivity?
Apart from these, you need to know plenty of things before buying a laptop (Display, Battery, After service, Thermal.. etc..), but don’t worry; my editorial team and I work very hard to make your shopping easy.
FAQ:
Which is the best laptop under 30000?
ASUS VivoBook 14 and Acer Aspire 3 are the best laptops you can buy for under 30000 Rs.
Which Brand is Best For Laptop?
From my point of view, the laptop brand is not very important. I tried all the laptop brands and didn’t find any major difference. It depends on the price; a high price means good quality hardware.
The brand name only matters for after-sales service, but you don’t need to worry about it; we check everything before making this list.

The HP Chromebook 14 is the best one you can buy right now under the budget of Rs. 30000.
After Purchasing, Why is My New Laptop Slow?
1. Window Update: This is the main reason behind the slow performance of your newly purchased laptop.
Don’t forget, the laptop you purchased was likely built 6-7 months ago, So when you first turn it on, it has to go and download and install all the Windows updates that have been released since. This task is a high CPU and disk-intensive task, and that is why your laptop works very slowly for a few hours. The actual time depends on the internet speed and laptop task. I highly advise you not to judge your laptop performance in the first 12 hours.
2. Bloatware: All brands give preinstalled third-party applications in the new laptop as a revenue source. So, when you turn on your laptop for the first time, you may notice a lot of software already preloaded. Much of it you’ll probably never use. This bloatware slows down your computer. So when you get a new laptop, check out the pre-installed software before further use, and uninstall anything that you won’t want.
3. Slow HDD Drive and low RAM: HDD drive is very slow these days; for faster speed, you need SSD to drive your system Drive.
Our laptop needs 8GB RAM for stable performance these days, so if the laptop has only 4GB RAM, buy an additional 4GB RAM and upgrade it.
