What gaming laptops cost in India right now
Gaming laptops got more expensive this year. Memory and graphics chips cost more as AI demand takes a big share of supply, and laptop makers passed that on. The result is that real gaming laptops with an RTX GPU start around ₹80,000, RTX 4050 laptops start near ₹1 lakh, and the newer RTX 5050 starts around ₹1.4 lakh.
This ladder is the whole guide in one picture. An RTX 4050 laptop averages about 7,679 in Time Spy graphics and an RTX 3050 6GB about 4,571. Notebookcheck rates the RTX 5050 about 14% above the 4050. I found no gaming laptop with a dedicated GPU under ₹72,000 worth recommending, and below ₹80,000 there is only one RTX 3050 6GB laptop I would pick.

If you can spend about ₹1.5 lakh, this is the laptop. Lenovo lists the RTX 5050 with 8GB of GDDR7 at 100W, pairs it with a 14-core Core i7-13650HX and gives you 1TB of storage and two RAM slots.
Performance. The RTX 5050 Laptop GPU has 2,560 CUDA cores and 8GB of GDDR7. Notebookcheck rates it about 14% above the RTX 4050 laptop. The Core i7-13650HX has 14 cores and 20 threads, which is far more CPU than the Core 5 210H in the ASUS laptops.
Screen and memory. It is a 15.6 inch full HD IPS panel, 144Hz, 300 nits, with 100% sRGB. The listing shows 16GB of DDR5-4800 as one stick in two slots, with up to 32GB supported.
The catch. It weighs 2.4 kg, the heaviest laptop in this guide.

If you have decided on an RTX 4050, this is the one. Lenovo lists 105W for the graphics, plus an extra 10W in Extreme Mode, and pairs it with a 14-core Core i7-13645HX and a 100% sRGB screen.
Performance. The RTX 4050 has 6GB of GDDR6 with a 2370MHz boost clock and a listed TGP of 105W. The Core i7-13645HX has 14 cores and 20 threads. The listing says the sealed Hyperchamber cooling gives an extra 10W in Extreme Mode.

The V16 is the sensible RTX 5050 laptop. It is the cheapest I found, weighs 1.95 kg and has a taller 16:10 screen. The trade is a smaller Core 5 210H processor and no published graphics power.
What you get. The listing shows an Intel Core 5 210H (8 cores, 12 threads), an RTX 5050 Laptop GPU with 8GB of GDDR7, 16GB of DDR5, a 512GB SSD and a 63Wh battery. Microsoft Office Home 2024 and a year of Microsoft 365 Basic come with it.
The screen. The panel is 16 inches at 1920×1200, 16:10, 144Hz and 300 nits, and ASUS lists 100% Adobe color gamut.
What is missing. ASUS does not publish the RTX 5050 graphics power on this listing, so check the box or ask the seller.

Every other cheap RTX 4050 laptop makes you accept a dull screen or a heavy body. The LOQ Essential does not. It has a 15.6 inch IPS panel with 144Hz, 300 nits and 100% sRGB, and weighs 1.8 kg.
Performance. The Ryzen 7 7735HS has eight cores and sixteen threads. The RTX 4050 has 6GB of GDDR6 and Lenovo lists a graphics power of 65W, well below the 105W on the bigger LOQ.
The RAM catch. The Amazon listing shows one 16GB DDR5-4800 stick with a maximum of 16GB, so it runs in single channel and cannot go higher.
Price and stores. Amazon and Flipkart both list it at ₹1,14,990 on 22 October 2026.

Under ₹80,000, real gaming laptops are rare in 2026. The ALG is the only RTX 3050 6GB laptop I found at that price, and it has a Core i7-13620H.
What you get. The listing shows a Core i7-13620H and an RTX 3050 with 6GB of video memory. Acer does not publish the graphics power on the listing I checked, so I cannot say where it sits in the 45W to 95W range this chip runs at.
What it can do. An RTX 3050 6GB scores about 4,571 in Time Spy graphics. In a published test of a 95W laptop it averaged about 125 fps in CS2 and about 87 fps in GTA V, and about 40 fps in Cyberpunk 2077 with DLSS.
Price. Amazon lists it at ₹79,990 on 22 October 2026.
Acer ALG AL15G-53 (Core i7-13620H, RTX 3050 6GB) vs the competition. It costs about ₹10,000 less than the LOQ Essential with an RTX 3050, but I could not find a published GPU power or colour figure for it.

Every studio publishes a minimum and a recommended graphics card. Here is where each GPU tier sits against the biggest releases of the next few weeks.

Requirements are the studios’ published figures, collected in October 2026. The last column is Geekman’s reading of where each chip sits against those tiers, not a benchmark result. Real results depend on the laptop’s GPU power, the CPU and the settings.
What this means for your buying decision
You want the best laptop and can spend ₹1.5 lakh: the Lenovo LOQ 2025 with the RTX 5050.
You want the newest GPU for the least money: the ASUS Gaming V16.
You want a great screen at about ₹1.15 lakh: the Lenovo LOQ Essential with the RTX 4050.
You want the lowest price on an RTX 4050: the Acer Aspire 7.
You have ₹90,000 or less and play esports: the LOQ Essential with an RTX 3050.
You want High settings in every new release: look at RTX 5060 and RTX 5070 laptops above ₹1.8 lakh.
You are buying for GTA 6: wait. It is console only for now and no PC date exists.
AI and video
Can gaming laptops run local AI and AI agents?
Small models, yes. 8GB of video memory runs 7B to 8B parameter models at 4-bit quality, 6GB suits 3B to 4B models and the RTX 3050 laptops with 6GB are limited to the same. I would run heavier models through a cloud API and keep the laptop for tools and code. Every laptop here has an NVIDIA GPU, which most local AI tools prefer.

1 · Why GPU wattage matters more than the name
The RTX 4050 laptop chip runs from about 35W up to 140W depending on the laptop. Lenovo lists 65W for the LOQ Essential and 105W for the LOQ Core i7, and ASUS lists 140W for the TUF F16. A higher number usually means more frames.
2 · Check for the 4GB and 6GB trap
Stores list several versions of one laptop name with different graphics. On Flipkart I saw TUF and Victus listings with only 4GB of graphics memory at similar prices. Read the full title and match it to the model in this guide.
3 · The single RAM stick trap
Many laptops ship with one 16GB stick, which runs in single channel and is slower than two. The LOQ Essential lists a 16GB maximum. The Core i7 LOQ models support up to 32GB.
4 · Screens in this price band
Many gaming laptops have panels around 45% to 62% sRGB, which look washed out for photos and video. The Lenovo LOQ laptops are the exception with 100% sRGB.
5 · Battery reality
Gaming on battery lasts under an hour on laptops like these. For web and video, expect a few hours. Plan to plug in for games.
6 · Crossed out prices
Flipkart and brand stores show large crossed out prices. Ignore them and look at the real price, then check which bank offer applies at checkout.
7 · Warranty and service
Most of these list one year. Keep the invoice, register the laptop on day one and note the nearest service centre.

Buyers keep asking these and the top guides rarely answer them. I checked each against the makers’ own spec pages (last checked 22 October 2026).
1 · Does the RTX wattage matter more than the card name?
Yes, it can. The same RTX chip runs at different power limits in different laptops. Lenovo lists the RTX 4050 at 65W in the LOQ Essential and 105W in the LOQ i7 model, and the RTX 5050 at 100W in the LOQ 2025 and 115W in the Legion 5. Some makers, like ASUS on the Gaming V16, do not publish it at all. Compare the wattage line when it is listed, and treat a missing number as a question mark.
2 · Will the screen show true colours if I also edit videos or photos?
Check the panel before you buy. Several gaming laptops list only about 62.5% of sRGB, which looks muted, and I left the HP Victus R7 260 and the Alienware 15 out of my editing guides for that reason. Look for a listing that says 100% sRGB, and read the maker’s page rather than the shop title.
3 · Is a single 16GB RAM stick a problem?
It can be. Many laptops here list one 16GB stick, which runs in single channel and gives less memory speed than two sticks. The listings I checked show room for a second stick on the LOQ 2025 and Legion 5, but the LOQ Essential lists a 16GB maximum. Check the maximum before you plan an upgrade.
4 · Can I play GTA 6 on a gaming laptop?
Not yet. GTA 6 has only been announced for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles, and I found no announced PC version on 22 October 2026. Do not pay extra for a laptop just for that game.

What is the best gaming laptop under 1 lakh in India?
The cheapest RTX 4050 laptop I found is the Acer Aspire 7 at ₹1,00,750, just over ₹1 lakh. Under ₹1 lakh you are looking at RTX 3050 laptops, and I list them in my guides for each budget.
What is the best gaming laptop under 80,000?
The Acer ALG with a Core i7-13620H and an RTX 3050 6GB at ₹79,990 is the only RTX 3050 6GB laptop I found under ₹80,000.
Why are gaming laptops so expensive in 2026?
Memory and graphics chips have become pricier as AI demand takes a big share of supply, and laptop makers have passed that on. An RTX 4050 laptop that was easy to find under ₹90,000 now starts near ₹1 lakh.
RTX 3050, RTX 4050 or RTX 5050: which should I buy?
Buy the best one you can afford. On Time Spy graphics an RTX 4050 laptop scores about 7,679 against about 4,571 for an RTX 3050 6GB, and Notebookcheck rates the RTX 5050 about 14% above the RTX 4050, with 8GB of video memory. If the gap between 4050 and 5050 is under ₹10,000, take the 5050.
Does GPU wattage matter?
Yes. The same RTX 4050 is listed at 65W on the Lenovo LOQ Essential, 105W on the Lenovo LOQ Core i7 and 140W on the ASUS TUF F16. More power usually means more frames, though cooling and the CPU matter too. Several brands do not publish the number, and I say so in each review.
Will new games like Gears of War: E-Day run on these laptops?
Gears of War: E-Day lists an RTX 2060, RTX 5050 or RX 6600 as its minimum and an RTX 5060 or RTX 3060 Ti as recommended, with 8GB of video memory advised. The RTX 5050 laptops meet the minimum and the memory advice. The RTX 4050 laptops clear the minimum, and the RTX 3050 laptops sit below it.
Will GTA 6 run on a gaming laptop?
GTA 6 launches on 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles only. No PC version has been announced, so no laptop can run it yet.
Can I run local AI models on a gaming laptop?
