Philips QT4001 Unboxing
The Philips QT4001/15 comes with fairly decent packaging on the lines of the other Philips trimmers. In the box, we get a user manual, warranty card, cleaning brush and charging adapter. Design, Build and Comfort
On the design end, the Philips QT4001 looks very stylish with black and blue colour combination. By the way, it looks almost the same as the other Philips trimmers, such as QT4003, and QT4005. The only differences being the size and build quality. It’s not only good looking but builds quality is also good. And I think, the build quality of this trimmer is quite good compared to other Nova and Syska trimmers in the price range. Thanks to Philips for using good quality ABS plastic.
One thing I like about this trimmer is that it’s very slim compact and light-weight weighs only 110 grams and has an ergonomically designed grip. Another interesting thing, it has very less vibration and noise compared to other trimmers in this price range. Overall, the trimmer is very comfortable and I did not find any problem in the design and build of the Philips QT4001/15.
Performance
When coming to the performance, I am quite happy with Philips Qt4001/15. Because it comes with 10 different length settings from 1mm to 10mm, which is ideal for our daily use. But if you want a clean shave, with a trim of 0.5 mm you need to use this trimmer without its comb. However, do little bit care while removing and putting back its comb. Why? because if you accidentally break the comb while doing this, the trimmer may become virtually unusable!
The best part, it gives a very smooth and closer trim experience compared to other trimmers in this price range. Just because of a good quality blade, you don’t feel any burns and irritation while using this Philips trimmer. Overall, the trimmer is skin-friendly, so you can also use it on other body parts. Another best part, it works very silently with less vibration, so you can enjoy your shaving. You can use this trimmer only with dry shaving because the body of this trimmer is not waterproof. But the good thing is that blade is easily detachable, so you can easily clean it under the tap of water.
Battery
When coming to battery performance, you get approx 40 min cordless use after 8 hours full charging. I know 8 hours charging time is very long, but it fair with overall performance. The sad thing, there is no any charging indicator light on this trimmer.
Final word
If you require a trimmer for daily use then you can buy this without a doubt. Because it has a stylish design, solid build quality, and long-lasting performance.
