Nuuk Hot Blox Review

What makes it stand out? Itβs completely fanless yet claims to heat faster than traditional oil radiators. Plus, it offers AC-like precise temperature control, multiple safety features, and promises to be significantly more energy efficient than regular oil heatersβpotentially saving you money on electricity bills.
After using the Nuuk Hot Blox for over a week, Iβm sharing my honest experience to answer the big question: Is this truly the best oil heater available in India right now?

First Impressions: Design That Doesnβt Disappoint
When it comes to first impressions, Iβll say thisβthe Nuuk Hot Blox looks just as good in real life as it does in photos. The design is modern and minimalist, nothing like those old-school oil radiators that look bulky and outdated sitting in your living room.

Thereβs a premium vibe to this oil heater. No matter how modern your home interiors are, the Nuuk Hot Blox fits right in without looking out of place. I have the grey color variant, but itβs also available in an all-black option if that suits your dΓ©cor better.

But itβs not just about looksβtheΒ build quality is genuinely impressive. Coming from a Bajaj oil radiator heater previously, I can confidently say the Nukk Hot Blox feels far more solidly constructed.

About 95% of the body is made of metal. Only the front panel, handle, and wheels are plasticβand even those are high-quality ABS plastic thatβs clearly marked as fire-resistant. Even the power cable is made from fire-safe materials, and at approximately 1.7 meters, the length is more than sufficient for most room setups.

The weight tells you everything about its solid buildβthe Nuuk Hot Blox weighs aroundΒ 12 kg, which is quite hefty. But donβt worry, youβre not going to be lifting it around. Like other oil radiator heaters, it comes with wheels for easy mobility. Whatβs nice is that these wheels are foldable, removable, and rotate 360 degrees. This makes storing this oil heater after winter incredibly convenientβyou can fold the wheels and tuck it away safely in your storage.

Smart Features: The Real Game-Changer
Now letβs talk about featuresβbecause this was my main reason for choosing the Nuuk Hot Blox. This oil radiator offers several features and options that simply arenβt available in any other heater on the market.
LED Display with Touch Controls

First up, it has anΒ LED display with touch buttonsβsomething Iβve never seen on any other oil radiator heater. Usually, you get knob controls or basic LED indicator lights, but after using this best oil heater, I can honestly say it makes day-to-day operation so much more convenient.
The display is bright and large enough that you can easily read it from 20-25 feet away. The touch button placement and response are both excellent. Thereβs also a large LED light for heating indication.
And donβt worry about the lights disturbing you at nightβboth the display and indicator lights automatically turn off after a few seconds.
WiFi Connectivity and App Control
Hereβs the smart feature that really stands out in the Nuuk Hot Blox:Β WiFi connectivity with app support. You can control this oil heater from anywhere using your smartphoneβeven from another room or while youβre at the office.

If you have senior citizens, children, or pets at home, this feature becomes incredibly useful. And as far as I know, no other room heater in India currently offers this level of smart control.
Connecting the Nuuk Hot Blox is surprisingly easyβso easy that you wonβt even need to look at the manual. Just long-press the mode button to activate WiFi mode, download the Nuuk app (available on both Android and iOS), add your home WiFi details, and youβre connected.
Once set up, you can control everything through the appβpower on/off, temperature control, mode changes, child lock, timerβeverything. The app UI is clean and easy to use, simple enough even for senior citizens to navigate comfortably.
Remote Control Option
While app control is convenient and future-proof for daily use, I know many people prefer not to rely on apps or may not have WiFi at home. For them, the Nuuk Hot Blox includes aΒ remote control. All the options available on the touch panel and app are also available on the remote. And yes, the remote has a cool, unique design too.

Performance: Multiple Heating Modes That Actually Matter
Between app control, remote control, and the smart display with touch buttons, operating the Nuuk Hot Blox is incredibly easy. But as an oil radiator heater, what really matters is performanceβand the Nuuk Hot Blox delivers here too.

Four Heating Modes for Versatile Control
Just like an AC, this oil heater offersΒ versatile temperature controlΒ with four heating modes:Β H1, H2, H3, and ECO.
Similar to modern inverter ACs, H1, H2, and H3 offer three different heat levels:
- H1 modeΒ uses only 1000Wβideal if your room is small or the cold isnβt too intense
- H2 modeΒ runs at 1200Wβsuitable for medium-sized rooms
- H3 modeΒ operates at full 2200W capacityβfor larger rooms or colder days
The benefit of these three modes is that you can easily control your electricity consumption with the Nuuk Hot Blox, so you wonβt be shocked when you see your electricity bill.

ECO Mode: The Game-Changer in Oil Radiator Technology
But the real star here is theΒ ECO modeβthis is what makes the Nuuk Hot Blox a game-changer among oil radiators. Like an AC, it offers smart temperature control with a range from 15Β°C to 35Β°C. Just like an inverter AC, it automatically adjustsβturning on/off, slowing down or speeding upβbased on your set temperature.
This is honestly the best feature of this oil heater. I think every oil radiator should have this. It makes the user experience so much betterβthe precise control ensures you always feel comfortable, and of course, it significantly reduces electricity consumption.
Timer Function
It also has aΒ timer functionΒ to help save electricity. You can set an automatic shut-off time anywhere from 1 hour to 24 hours.
Real-World Heating Performance
These features are exactly what I had in mind when I bought this oil radiatorβand I was right. Itβs comfortable to use, and I believe my electricity bill wonβt be too high either. Performance-wise, I havenβt felt any compromise in the Nuuk Hot Blox.
Even though it has precise smart temperature control that prioritizes energy efficiency, thereβs no sacrifice in performance.

Iβve been using the Nukk Hot Blox for the last 10 days, and performance-wise, it impressed me. When I first used this oil radiator heater, I thought since thereβs no fan, it would definitely be silentβbut maybe the heating speed would be slower. But that wasnβt the case at all.
Despite having no fan, theΒ heating speed of the Nuuk Hot Blox is quite good. I tested it in my 15Γ15 feet room and also in my larger 27Γ15 feet drawing room, and the performance was solid in both spaces.

To bring my entire 15Γ15 feet room from 20Β°C to 28Β°C, it took onlyΒ 10-12 minutes. Heat distribution was also consistentβI checked all the corners with a thermometer, and there was no difference compared to my old oil radiator heater. In fact, itβs slightly faster. My old oil heater was 2900W, the Hot Blox is only 2200Wβyet the performance and heating speed are the same.
This is great because my heating needs are fully met without any compromise, and my electricity bill will be lower too with this best oil heater.
Safety Features
Oh, and I forgot to mentionβthe Nuuk Hot Blox hasΒ auto shut-off and three levels of overheat protection. So donβt worry, the temperature wonβt go above 45Β°C. Even if you operate this oil radiator remotely from outside your home, thereβs no need to worry. From a fire safety perspective, itβs solid.

Any Downsides?
After 10 days of use, I havenβt found any major downsides with the Nuuk Hot Blox. The only thing is that for the first 1-2 days, you might smell a slight oil odorβbut thatβs normal with all oil radiator heaters.
Final Verdict: Is the Nuuk Hot Blox Worth It?
Overall, the Nuuk Hot Blox is a solid product. Compared to normal oil radiators, itβs definitely a significant upgrade and could easily be considered one of the best heaters available in India right now.
If youβre planning to buy an oil heater or currently have a basic fan heater, and you come across the Nuuk Hot Blox, Iβm sure youβll be tempted just like I was. Because the features, control, and options this oil radiator heater offersβprobably no other heater on the market provides all of this.
Yes, the price of the Hot Blox is slightly higher than regular oil radiator heaters. Normal oil heaters sell for around βΉ10,000, while the Nuuk Hot Blox is priced around βΉ14,000. But when you factor in the features, build quality, and design, it definitely justifies its price.
Itβs worth it. You can definitely buy the Nuuk Hot Blox.
