OneOdio Focus A10 Review

Quick answer: The OneOdio Focus A10 is a wireless ANC headphone (around ₹6,000, check the live price) that feels more expensive than it is. It has metal hinges, 35 dB hybrid ANC, 40 mm drivers and 40+ hours of battery without ANC. The sound is fun and bass-forward, not studio-neutral. It is bulky at about 295 g and has no companion app. If you want premium build and an enjoyable V-shaped sound, it is a strong pick. If you want LDAC over Bluetooth or a featherweight pair, look at the OneOdio A6 or EarFun Wave Pro.

OneOdio Focus A10 Review

Before I touched the A10’s settings, I flexed the headband and listened. It makes a smooth, almost hydraulic sound as it slides. That tiny detail told me more about the build than the spec sheet did.

I bought this pair on Amazon myself. It was one of those underrated headphones that kept showing up while I was testing a pile of wireless headphones and earbuds this week. I had used OneOdio before (mostly their DJ and monitoring headphones), and they always felt promising, so I wanted to see what they do when they aim at normal listeners.

I have used it for 3 to 4 days, not full days, so treat this as a real hands-on first review and not a long-term durability report. Let me tell you what I liked first, then what you should know before buying.

What do you get in the box?

I’ll skip the unboxing, but one thing deserves a mention: the hard case. At this price, many brands toss in a soft pouch. OneOdio gives you a solid zippered hard case that feels like it belongs to a more expensive product. A cable is also included, which matters later when we talk about wired listening.

Design and build quality: does the A10 feel premium?

Yes, and this is the A10’s best card.

The body is mostly plastic, but the hinges and the headband parts are metal. Pick it up and you can tell it is tough. The headband adjusts with that smooth hydraulic feel I mentioned, and the metal hinges make me far less nervous about it snapping in a backpack.

The look is the signature OneOdio concentric ring pattern, with a dual-colour finish and a metallic touch. I like it. A plain black or grey version would have felt ordinary, so the two-tone choice does real work here. It is a matter of taste, though. Some people will love it and some will find it too loud.

The ear cushions are faux leather, soft, and deep enough that your ears sit inside without being pressed. The top of the headband has the same soft padding.

Is the OneOdio Focus A10 comfortable?

For the first 30 to 40 minutes, yes. I watched a Netflix movie with it and had no complaints at the start.

After that I started feeling the weight. It is around 295 g, and the sturdy build is the reason. I normally use very light gaming headphones, so my comparison point is unusually light. If you are used to solid, heavier headphones, you may not notice at all. If you are sensitive to weight or wear headphones for hours at a stretch, this is the one area where you will have to compromise. The cushions themselves are lovely. It is only the weight.

How good is the noise cancellation?

This surprised me in a good way, and it is where the A10 punches above its price.

It has hybrid ANC (feedforward and feedback mics) rated up to 35 dB. The brand claims it cuts up to 95% of noise. I never trust marketing numbers like that, so I tested it myself, indoors and outdoors. With an AC or fan running, and with traffic outside, I would put the reduction at around 70%. That is my own estimate by ear, not a lab measurement.

Two things I really like:

  1. The passive isolation is excellent. The cushions seal around your ears so well that indoors I often did not need ANC at all. Outside voices fade to almost nothing. It also leaks very little, so the person next to you will barely hear what you are playing.
  2. ANC works without the headphones on your head. If you want to turn it on and sleep on a flight or a bus, it works for that. I do exactly this, and it is one of the reasons I would travel with it.
OneOdio Focus A10 ANC

It is not Bose or Apple level, and nobody should expect that at this price. Against its real rivals it holds up. The Sony WH-CH720N has slightly better ANC, but it costs roughly ₹3,000 more (confirm current prices). The EarFun and JBL Tune 770NC class headphones are in a similar ballpark. Transparency mode is fine too, and it does its job clearly.

Hi-Res Audio on the A10: what the sticker really means

This is the part that confuses people, so let me be plain about it.

The box has a Hi-Res Audio sticker, but the headphone only supports SBC and AAC over Bluetooth. Neither is a Hi-Res codec. So is the sticker fake? No.

OneOdio Focus A10 review

The sticker is about the drivers. The A10 uses 40 mm dynamic drivers with a dual-chamber design, and OneOdio lists a frequency range of 20 Hz to 40 kHz. Most headphones in this range stop at 20 kHz. Reaching 40 kHz is what qualifies the drivers for the Hi-Res label. A small honest caveat: most people cannot hear anything above 20 kHz, so this is more about capability than a night-and-day difference.

OneOdio Focus A10 sound quality

If you want to actually hear Hi-Res audio on the A10:

  • Use it wired, with the included cable.
  • Play from a Hi-Res source, such as Apple Music or Amazon Music HD.
  • Skip Bluetooth for that purpose, because SBC and AAC will not carry Hi-Res.

Some headphones carry two Hi-Res stickers, one for the driver and one for Bluetooth Hi-Res. The OneOdio Focus A6 is an example. If LDAC over Bluetooth matters to you, the A6 or the EarFun Wave Pro is the better fit.

How does the OneOdio Focus A10 sound?

It sounds fun. That is the short version.

The tuning is V-shaped: bass and treble are pushed up, mids sit a little behind. It is not a studio-natural sound, which makes sense, because this is a wireless headphone made for normal listeners, not OneOdio’s monitoring-style models.

Bass: Plenty of it, and it adds real energy to EDM, pop and fast Bollywood tracks. It is thick and enjoyable, but not especially tight or punchy. If tight, punchy bass is your thing, the JBL Tune 770NC or the OneOdio A6 do it better in my view.

Mids and vocals: Decent and warm. Male and female voices both come through clearly. The V-shape means vocals sit between the bass and the highs instead of pushing forward.

Treble: Bright, but smooth. I am sensitive to treble, and I had no issue with long sessions, which is the best sign I can give. Nothing sounded harsh or sharp.

Soundstage: Decent. Not very wide, not cramped. It worked well for movies and gaming for me.

My overall take: it is not analytical, and it is not trying to be. It is a lively, enjoyable sound that most people will like.

Battery life, connectivity and mic

Battery: I used it mostly without ANC and got roughly 40 to 45 hours of playback in total. With ANC on, expect around 25 hours, depending on volume. For this price that is solid, and honestly similar to what I see on much pricier headphones. If the battery dies, plug in the cable and keep listening.

OneOdio Focus A10 sound quality

Connectivity: No problems in my use. It supports dual device connection, and it has dedicated buttons for volume, music and calls. One miss: there is no Google Fast Pair.

Mic: Decent for daily calls. Indoors it is clear with little background noise. Outdoors my voice stayed clear, with a bit of background noise creeping in. Normal for the price range.

What is missing: no app and a few trade-offs

  • No companion app. I do not know why, since OneOdio has a universal app for other products. An app would have added EQ and ANC controls, and a fixed sound with no EQ is a real limitation. It could also be a choice aimed at professional users, who rarely use ANC with music anyway. That is only my guess.
  • ANC does not work in wired mode. That is true for many headphones, though a few do allow it.
  • It is bulky, as covered above.

My verdict

Premium build and a fun sound are the A10’s biggest strengths, and for around ₹6,000 I think it is worth it. It is not perfect (weight, no app, no wired ANC), but it gets the important things right.

FAQ

The drivers do (40 mm, 20 Hz to 40 kHz, which is why the box has the sticker). Over Bluetooth it only supports SBC and AAC, so you need wired mode and a Hi-Res source, such as Apple Music or Amazon Music HD, to get it.

No. There is no companion app, so there is no EQ and no app-based ANC control.

It uses hybrid ANC rated up to 35 dB. In my use, it reduced AC, fan and traffic noise by roughly 70%. It is good for the price, not at Bose or Apple level.

I got roughly 40 to 45 hours without ANC and around 25 hours with ANC on. Your result will change with volume.

No. ANC does not work in wired mode.

The A10 is the pick for build and fun sound. The A6 is the one to look at if you want LDAC over Bluetooth, an app and punchier bass.
