At its recent product launch event, Apple just introduced its Watch Series 7 along with iPad Mini, iPad 2021, and iPhone 13 series. Despite the multiple leaks that involve flat edges, Apple has used the same Watch Series 6 design.
On the design front, Apple Watch Series 7 has 40% thinner borders and softer round corners compared to Watch Series 6. The 7 series watch display is also 70 percent brighter on always-on mode. It also gets IP6X dust resistance and WR50 water resistance rating.
Coming to the software, the Apple Watch Series 7 runs on WatchOS 8. The new WatchOs 8 features bike tracking and fall detection for bike riding. The Watch Series 7 supports a full-screen keyboard where you can tap each letter or slide using QuickPath.
In terms of battery, the Apple Watch Series 7 promises up to 18 hours of battery life. Coming to charging, the company says the Series 7 charges 33 percent faster than the Apple Watch Series 6. With an upgraded USB-C cable, you can charge the watch from 0 to 80 percent within 45 min. Moreover, you get 8 h of sleep tracking with just 8 minutes of quick charging.
