AMD Unveils Ryzen 5000-Series ‘Zen 3’ Desktop CPUs Starting at $299

Waiting for so much time to launch new series of desktop processors finally now AMD has announced its Ryzen 5000 series of desktop processors based on the Zen 3 micro-architecture. The line up of desktop processors is the Ryzen 9 5950X and 5900X, Ryzen 7 5800X and Ryzen 5 5600X. All these Ryzen 5000 processors are compatible with the AMD 500 (A520, B550 and X570) motherboards after the update of the BIOS update. This will be available at the retail which is starting from 5 November.

Ryzen 9 5950X and 5900X

The most power full chip in the lineup is the Ryzen 9 5950X with the 16 cores and 32 threads. The frequency base of this is 3.4GHz and also it can boost up to the 4.9GHz and also it comes with the TDP of 105W. The price of the Ryzen 9 5950X is $799 that is Rs. 58,000 in the US. The other Ryzen 9 5900X comes with the 12-core unit with 24 threads. The frequency base of this is 3.7GHz and also it can boost up to the 4.8GHz. The price of the Ryzen 9 5900X is $549 that is Rs. Rs. 40,000. The processer will come up with the stock cooler.

Ryzen 7 5800X and Ryzen 5 5600X

The Ryzen 7 5800X comes with the 8 cores and 16 threads with the 105W TDP this is mainly aimed at the mainstream users. The frequency base of this is 3.8GHz and also it can boost up to the 4.7GHz.The price of the Ryzen 7 5800X is  $449 that is Rs.32,000 and this also comes with the stock cooler like its Ryzen 9 counterparts. In the line, upmost affordable one is the Ryzen 5 5600X and it comes with the Hexa-core chipset with the  12 threads and the 65W TDP. The frequency base of this is 3.7GHz and also it can boost up to the 4.6GHz.This processer will come up with the bundled Wraith Stealth CPU cooler at the price of  $299 that is Rs. 21,000.

Future Roadmap

AMD is also announced that it will come up with the Radeon RX 6000-series ‘Big Navi‘ GPUs based on the RDNA 2 architecture launch on October 28. AMD is expected to compete with the  Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3000-series cards and also the rumours suggest us that the  Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 will also come up with the  Big Navi chips, let’s hope for the best and wait for the official confirmation of that at the upcoming event.
