Prices were seen on 26 October 2026. Two ACs list under ₹25,000 and five list up to ₹26,490, so the range runs from ₹23,990 to ₹26,490. Almost every pick is a 3 star inverter split AC, and most are 1 ton, made for a room of about 90 to 120 sq ft. What to know before you buy an AC under 25000
Room size
A 1 ton AC suits a room of about 90 to 120 sq ft. A 0.75 ton AC is for a small room of up to 90 sq ft. A 1.5 ton AC is for 120 to 180 sq ft.
3 star is the norm
At this price you get a 3 star AC. It costs more to run than a 5 star, but it also costs ₹10,000 to ₹15,000 less to buy. If you run it a few hours a day, 3 star is fine.
Inverter, not fixed speed
An inverter AC slows down once the room is cool, so it uses less power and stays quieter. Window ACs at this price are often fixed speed, so I kept to split inverter models.
Model year and label
Star ratings changed in 2026. Some 2025 models list their star under the old rules, and the same AC would get one star less under the new ones. Look at the label on the unit.
Warranty
The usual deal is 1 year on the product, 5 years on the PCB and 10 years on the compressor. Godrej lists a 5 year cover on the whole product, with terms.
Offers
Prices here move with sales and bank offers. An AC listed a little above ₹25,000 can fall under it at checkout, so check the final price.

Each product gets a score out of 10 for performance (40%), value (40%) and service (20%). The same rules apply to every product in every guide. Performance counts the energy rating most, then motor or compressor type, capacity and features. Value is price against the rest of the list plus warranty, and warranty is counted only here. Service is the brand’s service reach across India. Only two of the seven list under ₹25,000 on the day I checked. The other five sit between ₹490 and ₹1,490 above the mark. Sales and card offers can pull them under, so I kept them in and marked the price. Nearly every AC in this range is 3 star, and a few are 2025 models.

Cooling and efficiency. It is a 3 star inverter split AC for a 1 ton room, with a 4 way air swing to spread the air. I could not confirm the ISEER from the page, so check the label on the unit you buy.
Comfort and smart features. It has Wi-Fi control, so you can switch the AC on from your phone before you get home.
Warranty and service. The page lists 5 years on the whole product for sales after 1 September 2024, and 10 years on the compressor. Read the terms, since offers like this often need registration. Godrej service is decent in cities and thinner in small towns.

How to choose an AC under 25000
Match the room
An AC that is too small runs flat out and still does not cool. Pick the ton by room size first, then look at brand and price.
Count the hours
If the AC runs 3 to 4 hours a day, a 3 star model is fine. If it runs all night in summer, stretch to a 5 star from the best AC under 30000 guide.
Wi-Fi is a bonus
Wi-Fi lets you switch the AC on before you get home. Nice to have, not a reason to pay more.
Clean the filter
Clean it every two to four weeks in summer. A choked filter makes any AC work harder.
Installation
Ask what the free installation includes. Extra copper pipe, a stand and a drain pipe are usually charged.
Service
Check that your city has an authorised service centre. A cheap AC with no service nearby is a bad buy.

I did not find a 5 star split inverter AC from a known brand under ₹25,000. Five star ACs start near ₹30,000. See the best AC under 30000 guide for those.

No. It cools the same as a 5 star of the same ton. It uses more power. For a few hours a day the difference on the bill is small.
3 · Why do some picks list above 25000?
Prices move daily. A few ACs sit just over the mark and drop under it with a sale or a card offer. Check the price at checkout.
4 · Should I buy a window AC instead?
