Youtube also unveil dark mode
Youtube has launched a new look for its desktop website that comes with several Material Design features, included dark mode. The youtube has now started rolling out a preview of the new material looks for users. If you want to try out YouTube’s latest look, you can opt-in to preview the new design at youtube.com/new. You can also return to the current design by selecting “Restore classic YouTube” from the Account Menu.
The company says, the new desktop design is clean and fresh as it no longer has visuals that can disturb the browsing or watching experience. Youtube also introduce dark theme mode, that developed to cut down on glare and let you take in the true colors of the videos you watch, Dark Theme turns your background dark throughout your entire YouTube experience.
The new site design is built on a new, faster framework named Polymer, which enables quicker feature development from here on out.
