Short answer: for most Indian homes, buy the Philips NA120. Want a window and a digital panel? Take the Philips NA231 . Want the crispiest food? The Ninja MAX PRO. Cooking for 6 or more? The Philips NA352 dual basket or the Inalsa 12L oven. On a ₹3,000 budget, there is the KENT Digi Plus.
An air fryer is only worth it if you pick the right size, the right power and a brand whose service reaches your city. We built this guide around those three checks, with picks for small, medium and big families and for every budget from about ₹3,000 to ₹14,000. We updated it on 17 October 2026. Prices come live from Amazon.in and Flipkart and move during sales.
The ranking
How we ranked these air fryers
Geekman has covered consumer tech for over 10 years, and this ranking is built the way our buying guides always are: research first, then a hard look at the numbers. For every model we compared official specs, capacity, power, controls, basket build and coating, price, running cost, warranty and service reach, and checked live prices on Amazon and Flipkart. Each score is out of 10: Performance 40% (power, temperature range, capacity, modes), Value 40% (price against what you get, running cost) and Service 20% (warranty and service reach).

The NA120 is the air fryer most Indian kitchens meet first, and for good reason. You turn one knob for temperature and one for time, and that is the whole manual. It heats up fast, it is easy to clean and Philips gives you 2 years of warranty.
Cooking. The 4.2L basket takes about 500 to 600 g of fries or two to three chicken legs at a time. Cook in batches if you are feeding more than four. The temperature goes from 80 to 200°C, which covers everything from reheating to crisp tikkas.
Controls. Knobs are old school, but they never freeze, never need a reset and an elderly parent can use them on day one. There is no screen and no cooking window. You open the basket to check the food.
Warranty and service. Philips gives 2 years on the product and has one of the widest service networks in India. For a ₹4,700 appliance, that matters more than a fancy display.
Philips NA120/00 (4.2L) vs the competition. Against the KENT Digi Plus it costs about ₹1,600 more, but you get a 2-year warranty, a bigger brand and a much wider service network. Against the Philips NA231, you give up the digital panel and window and save about ₹4,700.
Key specs
| Capacity | 4.2L |
| Power | 1500W |

2. Philips NA231/00 (6.2L Digital with Window)
8.4 Overall
8.5 Performance
8.0 Value
8.8 Service
Watch your food crisp up through the window, with a digital panel and 13 presets, from a brand with real service reach.

6.2L basket · Touch panel · Cooking window · 13 presets · 2-year warranty
Best for
✓ Families of 3 to 5
✓ People who hate opening the basket to check
✓ Digital control lovers who still want Philips service
Not ideal for
– Tight budgets (the NA120 costs ₹4,700 less)
– Big joint families
– Anyone who wants two dishes at once
Verdict: The best Philips if you want to see the food and tap a preset. It costs more than the NA120, but it also gives you real extra capacity and convenience.
Pros and cons
What we like
+ See-through cooking window
+ Touch panel and 13 presets
+ 6.2L feeds 3 to 5 people
+ Philips service and 2-year warranty
What we don’t like
– About ₹4,700 more than the NA120
– Single basket only
– Wattage is not stated on the Philips page
Full review
The NA231 gives you a bigger 6.2L basket, a touch panel with 13 presets and a window in the basket so you can watch the food without letting the heat out. It is the model to pick if you like the Philips name but want a modern, digital kitchen gadget.
Window. The see-through window is a small thing that changes how you cook. You watch samosas turn golden and pull them out at the right moment, without opening the basket. It also stops you from guessing.
Presets. Thirteen presets cover the usual Indian list: fries, chicken, fish, vegetables, cakes and more. They are a starting point. Adjust time and temperature to suit your food.
Service. Philips gives 2 years on the product, and the service network is the widest of any air fryer brand in this list. Retail listings put the power at about 1700W, but Philips does not state it on its own page, so treat that figure as approximate.
Philips NA231/00 (6.2L Digital with Window) vs the competition. Against the Ninja MAX PRO it costs about ₹600 less and adds a window, but the Ninja runs hotter (240°C) and has more power. Against the NA120, you pay about ₹4,700 more for 2L extra, a touch panel and the window.

✓ People who want extra crispy results
✓ Cooks who like dehydrate and roast modes
Not ideal for
– Buyers who want the widest service network
– Small kitchens (it is bigger than a 4L)
– Anyone on a tight budget
Verdict: Pick this if crisp is your priority. It has the most power and the highest temperature of any single-basket air fryer here.
Pros and cons
What we like
+ 2000W and up to 240°C
+ Max Crisp mode
+ Dehydrate mode for snacks
+ PFOA-free ceramic-coated basket
+ 2-year warranty
What we don’t like
– Service network is newer

– Heavy at about 6.9 kg

The Ninja MAX PRO is a 6.2L air fryer with six modes: Max Crisp, Air Fry, Roast, Bake, Reheat and Dehydrate. It runs at 2000W and goes up to 240°C, so it heats fast and browns hard. The basket is a PFOA-free nanoceramic coating over aluminium, and Ninja gives you 2 years of warranty.
Max Crisp. Max Crisp is the headline mode. It blasts the food with the highest heat to get fries, wings and cutlets crunchy without extra oil. It works best when you do not overload the basket.
Modes. Roast, Bake and Reheat are the everyday ones. Dehydrate is the extra: think banana chips, sliced mango and dried herbs at low heat. It is a handy bonus if you like making snacks at home.
Service. Ninja is a newer name in Indian homes than Philips, and its service network is still growing. The brand lists a toll-free number (1800-296-0076) for support. Before you buy, check if your city has a service centre.
Ninja MAX PRO AF180IN (6.2L 6-in-1) vs the competition. Against the Philips NA231 it has more power and a higher top temperature for about ₹600 more, but no window and a smaller service network. Against the Instant Vortex Plus it costs the same, has more power and gives you a 2-year warranty instead of 1.

6L and 3L baskets, 2750W, and synchronised finishing so the sabzi and the snack are ready together.

9L (6L + 3L) · 2750W · 40 to 200°C · 8 presets · 2-year warranty
Best for
✓ Big families and joint families
✓ Parties and weekend cooking
✓ People who want two dishes ready at the same time
Not ideal for
– Small kitchens (it is 7.85 kg and about 44 cm deep)
– Buyers on a budget
– Singles and couples
Verdict: The dual-basket pick. It is expensive, but it is the only one here that cooks two different dishes at the same time without mixing flavours.
Pros and cons
What we like
+ Two baskets, two dishes
+ 2750W
+ Philips 2-year warranty and service
+ Synchronised finishing
What we don’t like
– Costs ₹13,999
– Heavy and bulky
– No window
Full review
The NA352 has two separate baskets, 6L and 3L, which give you 9L in total. The 2750W motor is the strongest on this list. Philips says the baskets are designed to “cook two dishes together with synchronised finishing”, so a roast and a side dish can both be ready at the same moment.
Why dual. With a single basket, you cook the tikka and then the fries, and the first batch goes cold. With two baskets you do both at once, which is faster and easier for big families.
Power. Philips lists 2750W. Some Amazon pages say 1400W, which is wrong. We went with the Philips page. Use a heavy-duty socket for this one. Do not run it through a loose extension board.
Size. It measures 31.4 × 38.2 × 44.4 cm and weighs 7.85 kg. Measure your counter first. The cord is 1.8 m long.
Philips NA352/00 (9L Dual Basket) vs the competition. Against the Ninja AF300IN dual (₹15,999), it costs about ₹2,000 less and has a higher stated wattage, but the Ninja goes up to 240°C. Against the Philips NA342, you give up a window and gain the second basket.

Best Air Fryer Oven
5. Inalsa AeroCrisp (12L Air Fryer Oven)
8.1 Overall
8.2 Performance
8.6 Value
7.0 Service
A 12L stainless steel air fryer oven with rotisserie, convection and 12 presets for under ₹9,000.

12L oven · 1700W · 12 presets · Rotisserie · 2-year warranty
Best for
✓ Large families
✓ People who want to bake, grill and rotisserie roast
✓ Buyers who like a steel body
Not ideal for
– Small kitchens
– Anyone who wants a quick snack in 5 minutes (the big oven takes longer to heat)
– Tight counters
Verdict: If you want one machine to replace a small OTG and an air fryer, this is the value pick. It costs about what a good 6L basket air fryer costs.
Pros and cons
What we like
+ 12L space with rotisserie and convection
+ Stainless steel body
+ 12 presets
+ 2-year warranty
What we don’t like
– Big and takes counter space
– Slower to heat than a small basket
– Smaller service network than Philips
Full review
The Inalsa AeroCrisp is an air fryer oven, not a basket model. It has a 12L cavity with a steel body, rotisserie, convection and 12 presets, and the listing mentions dishwasher-safe accessories. Inalsa gives 2 years of warranty.
Oven style. A basket air fryer is best for fries and snacks. An air fryer oven lets you do a whole tray of tikka, a small cake or a whole chicken on the rotisserie. The trays slide in like an OTG.
Power. It runs at 1700W for 12L, so it is lower in watts per litre than basket models. That means a slightly longer preheat. In return you get a lot more space.
Service. Inalsa is a known Indian appliance brand, but its service network is smaller than Philips. Check your pin code before you order.
Inalsa AeroCrisp (12L Air Fryer Oven) vs the competition. Against the Ninja MAX PRO it gives you about twice the capacity and rotisserie for ₹1,300 less, but it heats up slower and takes more counter space.

6.4 Service
A 5.67L steel-finish air fryer with six cooking functions and a touch panel, but only a 1-year warranty.

5.67L basket · 1700W · 35 to 205°C · 6-in-1 · 1-year warranty
Best for
✓ Families of 3 to 5
✓ People who like the Instant Pot brand
✓ Buyers who want a premium look
Not ideal for
– Anyone who wants a long warranty
– Buyers who want the widest service reach
– Tight budgets
Verdict: It is a good air fryer, but the 1-year warranty keeps it below the Philips and Ninja picks at the same price.
Pros and cons
What we like
+ Stainless steel finish
+ Six functions including Dehydrate
+ One-touch programs
+ Touch panel
What we don’t like
– 1-year warranty
– Smaller service network
– No window
Full review
The Instant Vortex Plus is a 5.67L air fryer from the Instant Pot family. It has a stainless steel finish and six functions: Air Fry, Roast, Bake, Reheat, Broil and Dehydrate. It has one-touch programs for wings, roasted veggies, garlicky potatoes and cookies, and the basket has a non-stick coating.
What you get. A touch panel with six presets, a temperature range of 35 to 205°C and a non-stick basket and tray. The unit weighs about 6.9 kg.
Warranty. The product page lists a 1-year warranty for manufacturing defects. That is half of what Philips, Ninja and Inalsa give you.
Service. Instant is not as well known in India as Philips. Check the service options in your city and read the warranty card before you buy.
Instant Vortex Plus (6L 6-in-1) vs the competition. Against the Ninja MAX PRO it costs about the same but has less power, less temperature range and half the warranty. Against the Philips NA231 it gives you a steel finish instead of a window.

7. KENT Digi Plus (4L Digital)
7.2 Overall
6.4 Performance
8.6 Value
6.0 Service
The cheapest air fryer we would recommend: a digital panel, 6 presets and a 1-year warranty from a known Indian brand.

4L basket · 1300W · 80 to 200°C · Digital touch · 1-year warranty
Best for
✓ Singles, couples and students
✓ Buyers who want to try an air fryer for under ₹3,500
✓ Small kitchens
Not ideal for
– Families of 4 or more
– People who want a long warranty
– Anyone who wants a steel or premium build
Verdict: This is the budget slot. It is a fair first air fryer, but it is smaller, plastic and has a shorter warranty than the others.
Pros and cons
What we like
+ Lowest price on the list
+ Digital touch panel
+ 6 presets
+ Compact
What we don’t like
– Plastic body
– 1-year warranty
– Lowest power on the list
Full review
The KENT Digi Plus is a 4L air fryer with a digital touch panel, a timer and 6 presets. It has a plastic body and the listing shows 1300W. Amazon lists a 1-year warranty.
What you get. A digital display, touch control and presets for fry, grill, roast, bake and reheat. The temperature runs from 80 to 200°C. It is a simple, light machine for small batches.
Where it falls short. The body is plastic, the basket is small and the warranty is 1 year. It also has the least power on this list, so heating is slower than the 1700W and 2000W models.
Why it made the list. Under ₹3,500, it is the pick with digital controls and a known Indian brand behind it. If you can stretch to the Philips NA120, do that.
KENT Digi Plus (4L Digital) vs the competition. Against the Philips NA120 it costs about ₹1,600 less, but you give up 2 years of warranty, the bigger Philips service network and some build quality.

The buying guide
How to choose an air fryer in India
Short on time? Watch the 46-second version first, then read the details below.
▶ Watch: the 3 checks before you buy an air fryer (46 sec)
Size, power with coating, and warranty with service. That is the whole buying guide in under a minute, with the 7 picks at the end.

4 to 4.5L
1 to 2 people. About ₹3,000 to ₹5,000.

5.5 to 6.5L
3 to 5 people. About ₹9,000 to ₹10,000.

9L dual basket
5 to 8 people, two dishes at once. About ₹14,000.

12L oven
Big families who bake, grill and roast. About ₹8,700.
Indian cooking means big batches and big vessels, so round up one size if you cook for guests.
1 · Size: how many litres do you need?
Use 4 to 4.5L for 1 or 2 people, 5.5 to 6.5L for 3 to 5 people and a 9L dual basket or a 12L oven for 6 or more. A bigger basket means fewer batches, which saves time and keeps food hot.
Do not overfill. Air fryers cook by moving hot air around the food, so a crowded basket cooks unevenly. A 4L basket handles about 500 to 600 g of fries at a time.
2 · Single basket, dual basket or air fryer oven?
Single basket (Philips NA120, NA231, Ninja MAX PRO, Instant, KENT): simplest, fastest to heat, great for fries, tikkas and snacks.
Dual basket (Philips NA352): two separate baskets, so you can cook two dishes at once. The finishing times can be synchronised so both are ready together.
Air fryer oven (Inalsa AeroCrisp 12L): trays, rotisserie and convection. It can bake and grill like a small OTG, but it takes more space and a bit longer to heat.
3 · Power: what do the watts mean?
More watts means faster heating and crispier results, but only if the watts match the size. Divide watts by litres. The Ninja MAX PRO (2000W for 6.2L) gives about 323 watts per litre. The Philips NA120 (1500W for 4.2L) gives about 357. The 12L Inalsa oven gives about 142, which is why it heats more slowly.
For anything above 2000W, such as the Philips NA352 dual at 2750W, plug into a proper heavy-duty socket and avoid loose extension boards.
Watts per litre is a rough guide. Heater design and airflow matter too. The Philips NA231 wattage is the retailer-listed figure.
4 · Basket coating and body material
Most baskets use a non-stick coating. Look for a PFOA-free coating, like the nanoceramic one on the Ninja MAX PRO. Use plastic or wooden tools, not metal, and stop using the basket if the coating flakes.
The Instant Vortex Plus and the Inalsa oven have steel finishes, and the KENT has a plastic body. Steel looks premium and is easy to wipe clean, but the coating on the cooking surface matters more for your food.
5 · Digital or manual controls?
Manual knobs are simple and last long. They suit elders and anyone who cooks the same few things. The Philips NA120 is the pick.
Digital panels give you presets and an exact timer. They suit people who like one-touch cooking. The Philips NA231, Ninja MAX PRO, Instant and KENT all have them.
6 · Is a see-through window worth it?
A window lets you watch browning without opening the basket, so the heat stays in. If you cook a lot of snacks, you will love it. If you do not mind checking by hand, skip it and save money. Of our picks, the Philips NA231 has one.
7 · Presets: which ones matter?
Presets are a starting point. The ones worth having are fries, chicken, fish, vegetables, bake and reheat. A dehydrate mode (Ninja MAX PRO, Instant) is a nice bonus for banana chips and dried fruit. You will still adjust time and temperature to your food.
8 · Warranty and service: check your pin code
Philips, Ninja and Inalsa give 2 years on their air fryers. KENT and Instant give 1 year. Philips has the widest service network, Ninja and Instant are newer in India and Inalsa and KENT sit in between. Before you pay, ask the brand for the nearest service centre to your pin code.
📐
Give it space
Keep 10 to 15 cm free around the machine for the hot air vent.
🔌
Use a proper socket
Above 2000W, plug straight into the wall. No loose extension boards.
🧽
Clean after use
Wipe the basket when it cools. Check if your model says dishwasher safe, and see our Best dishwasher in India guide if you are thinking of one.
🛠️
Keep the bill
Warranty needs the invoice. Keep a photo of it on your phone.

For 6 or more
Philips NA352 dual or Inalsa 12L oven.

Inalsa AeroCrisp 12L air fryer oven.
Also consider: premium and dual-zone options
Ninja AF300IN Dual Zone (7.6L, ₹15,999). Two baskets, 2470W and up to 240°C, with a sync function. It costs about ₹2,000 more than the Philips NA352 but runs hotter.
Philips NA342 (7.2L, ₹13,999). A single basket with a cooking window, 2000W and a 1.8 m cord, with a 2-year warranty. A very good air fryer, but at the same price the NA352 gives you a second basket.
Ninja Combi 14-in-1 (SFP701IN, 12.5L, ₹22,999). This is a multi-cooker, oven and air fryer in one: 1780W, up to 240°C, steam, slow cook, rice and pasta, with a 2-year warranty. It is for people who want one machine for everything, not just a crispy air fryer.
Popular air fryers we did not rank
Philips NA130 (6.2L, about ₹6,476). 1700W, analog knobs, 80 to 200°C and a 2-year warranty. A good Philips, but the NA120 is cheaper for small families and the NA231 adds a digital panel and a window.
Philips NA221 (4.2L digital, ₹8,299 on the Philips site). Digital, but no window and a price close to the bigger NA231.
Bosch CrispMaxx (4L, about ₹6,399). A 4L model that costs about ₹1,700 more than the Philips NA120 without extra capacity.
Havells Prolife Crystal (5L, about ₹6,399). A fair choice with a 2-year warranty, but nothing here beats the Philips NA120 for the money.
American Micronic (6.5L, about ₹6,887). A steel-bodied 1700W model. We could not confirm its warranty terms from the maker, so it stays out.
Philips OneChef (6L, ₹18,990). An all-in-one cooker that costs far more than a regular air fryer.
Sub-₹3,000 models. We looked at several budget fryers under ₹3,000. The KENT Digi Plus gave the best mix of digital controls and a known Indian brand.

Air fryer FAQs
Which is the best air fryer in India?
For most Indian families the Philips NA120 (4.2L, about ₹4,699) is the best all-round air fryer. If you want a window and a digital panel, take the Philips NA231 (₹9,399). For the crispiest results, take the Ninja MAX PRO (₹9,998). For big families, the Philips NA352 dual basket (₹13,999) and the Inalsa AeroCrisp 12L oven (₹8,695) are our picks.
Which air fryer brand is best in India?
Philips has the widest service network and a 2-year warranty on its air fryers, so it is the safest brand for most people. Ninja leads on power and temperature, Inalsa gives you the most space for the money and KENT is the budget option. Instant gives a 1-year warranty, so we rank it lower.
Which is the best air fryer under ₹5,000?
The Philips NA120 (4.2L, about ₹4,699) is the best air fryer under ₹5,000. It gives you a 2-year warranty, simple knobs and a wide service network. If you want a digital display and can live with a 1-year warranty, the KENT Digi Plus (₹3,099) is cheaper.
What is the best air fryer under ₹3,000?
There is very little worth buying below ₹3,000. The KENT Digi Plus 4L (₹3,099 on Amazon) is the closest we would recommend. It gives you a digital panel and 6 presets, but it has a plastic body and a 1-year warranty. Prices change in sales, so check the live price.
Which size air fryer do I need for my family?
Pick 4 to 4.5L for 1 or 2 people, 5.5 to 6.5L for 3 to 5 people, and a 9L dual basket or a 12L oven for 6 or more. Indian cooking often means large batches, so round up one size if you cook for guests.
Single basket, dual basket or air fryer oven: which is better?
A single basket is the simplest and the best for fries, tikkas and snacks. A dual basket (like the Philips NA352) lets you cook two dishes at once. An air fryer oven (like the Inalsa 12L) gives you trays, a rotisserie and room to bake, but it takes more space and a bit longer to heat.
Digital or manual air fryer: which should I buy?
Manual knobs (Philips NA120) are simple, durable and easy for elders. Digital panels (Philips NA231, Ninja MAX PRO, KENT) give you presets and a precise timer. If you cook the same few dishes every week, either works. Pick digital for presets and manual for simplicity.
Is a see-through window worth it?
Yes, if you like watching your food. A window lets you check browning without opening the basket, which keeps the heat in. The Philips NA231 is the pick here. If you do not mind opening the basket, you can skip it and save money.
Philips or Ninja: which air fryer is better?
Choose Philips for a wider service network, a window (NA231) or a dual basket (NA352). Choose Ninja MAX PRO for more power (2000W) and a 240°C top temperature. Both give a 2-year warranty, but Philips has been in Indian homes much longer.
How much electricity does an air fryer use?
A 20-minute cook at full power uses about 0.4 to 0.9 units, which is roughly ₹3 to ₹6 at ₹7 per unit. The heater switches on and off, so real use is usually lower. At one cook a day, that is about ₹90 to ₹190 a month.
Is the non-stick coating on an air fryer safe?
Look for a PFOA-free coating, such as the one the Ninja MAX PRO lists. Do not use metal spoons or scrubbers, and stop using the basket if the coating starts to flake. Wash it by hand or check if your model says the basket is dishwasher safe.
Can an air fryer replace an oven or a microwave?
A big air fryer oven, like the Inalsa AeroCrisp 12L, can replace a small OTG for baking, grilling and roasting. A basket air fryer cannot replace a microwave for reheating soups and liquids. Most homes keep both.
What should I not cook in an air fryer?
Avoid wet batters, such as pakora batter poured straight into the basket, because the batter drips and does not set. Skip loose liquids, and keep very light leafy items in check because the fan can blow them around. Coat or oil food lightly instead of drenching it.
How much warranty and service should I expect?
Philips, Ninja and Inalsa give 2 years on their air fryers in this list. KENT and Instant give 1 year. Before you buy, check service in your city, because warranty is only useful if a service centre can reach you.
