iQOO 8 Series Launched In China With Snapdragon 888+ SoC, 120 Hz Refresh Rate, and 5G Support

After the success of the iQOO 7 series, the Chinese smartphone firm has launched its successors, iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro for the Chinese Market. The 8 series is coming with lots of upgrades over its predecessor. Both the iQOO 8 series model smartphones come along with a triple rear camera setup and feature BMW M Motorsport colorways. The iQOO 8 is available in three color variants, whereas, the iQOO 8 Pro is available in two color variants and both the smartphones come with a display that offers a higher refresh rate.

iQOO 8 Features, and Pricing

The iQOO 8 comes with a 6.56 inch full HD+ AMOLED display that offers a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Further, it features 1080×2376 pixels resolutions, 10-bit color, 19:8:9 aspect ratio, and 398 ppi pixel density. The smartphone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and is available in 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM, 256 GB onboard memory, along UFS 3.1 storage.

At back, the iQOO 8 has a triple camera setup that features a 48 Megapixel IMX598 main camera, 13 Megapixel camera for ultra-wide shots, and another 13 Megapixel camera for portrait photography. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone packs a 16 Megapixel camera in front.

In terms of connectivity, and sensor, iQOO 8 comes along with 5G, dual-band Wi-fi, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS, ambient light sensor gyroscope accelerometer compass proximity sensor, and in-display fingerprint scanner along with face detection. Lastly, if we talk about the battery support, the smartphone features a 4350 mAh battery that is backed by 120 W fast charging that can charge the smartphone from 0 to 100 in less than 30 minutes.

The 8/128 GB variant of iQOO 8 is available at a price of CNY 3,799 (~ Rs.43,600). Whereas, the 12/256 GB variant of iQOO 8 is available at a price of CNY 4,199 (~ Rs. 48,200). In terms of design and finishes, we have two options: BMW M Motorsport colorways Legendary Edition and a Black color variant.

iQOO 8 Pro Features, and Pricing

The iQOO 8 Pro comes with a 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED display that offers a different rate of 120 Hz. Further, it features 1440×3200 pixels resolutions, HDR support, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 517 ppi pixel density. The smartphone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC, and is backed by Adreno 660 GPU for best gaming performance, and is available in 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM, 256 GB on-board memory option, along with UFS 3.1 storage.

At back, the iQOO 8 Pro has a triple camera setup that features a 50 Megapixel IMX766 main camera along with gimbal stabilization, a 48 Megapixel camera for ultra-wide shots, and another 16 Megapixel camera for portrait photography. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone packs a 16 Megapixel camera in front.

The connectivity and sensor options present in the Pro model are identical to the iQOO 8. The only noticeable difference is that the Pro model offers an ultrasonic 3D wide-area in-display fingerprint sensor. Lastly, if we talk about the battery support, the smartphone features a 4500 mAh battery that is backed by 120 W fast charging and 50 W fast wireless charging.

iQOO 8 Pro

The 8/256 GB variant of iQOO 8 Pro is available at a price of CNY 4,999 (~ Rs. 57,300). The 12/256 GB variant of iQOO 8 Pro is available at a price of CNY 5,499 (~ Rs. 63,100). And the 12/512 GB variant of iQOO 8 Pro is available at a price of CNY 5,999 (~ Rs. 68,800). In terms of design and finishes, we again have two options: Track Version, and the Legendary Edition.

The iQOO 8 series is available for pre-order in China. The sale for iQOO 8 will begins from 24th August whereas the sale for IQOO 8 Pro will begin from 26th August. However, there isn’t any official update regarding their ability in the global market.
