The OnePlus Nored 2 is easily one of the best mid range budget smartphones in the country, because it offers some great features at a great price tag. The Nord 2 has been in news for quite some time now, and it is not the way OnePlus would have wished for. In the past few months, we have heard quite some stories about the OnePlus Nord 2 explosions, and just today, a user on Twitter has reported that his OnePlus Nord 2 charger exploded while it was plugged in the socket.

Jimmy Jose, a Twitter user from Kerala, India reported that the 65W charger of his OnePlus Nord 2 exploded while he was using it to charge his device. Jimmy stated that the “charger blasted with a huge sound, and blew up the socket.” Jimmy also shared some pics of the same incident, and it can be seen that the charger has exploded into pieces, and he added that “he was lucky that he was still alive.” Jimmy also claimed that the phone was completely fine, and in a working condition.

I wanted to get this to your immediate attention. My OnePlus Nord 2 warp charger blasted with a huge sound and it blew up the socket. Luckily I'm alive to make this tweet. The Nord 2 is working. but this is scary af. I'm still in shock😐@OnePlus_IN @oneplus @OnePlus_Support pic.twitter.com/K3fXCyGzNp

Although no person was harmed in this accident, an incident like this is quite shocking especially when it involves a brand like OnePlus that is known for its quality products. OnePlus have responded to Jimmy’s tweet, and assured him that they will look into the matter. However, the company is yet to take some action or issue a statement publicly.

What do you think can be the reason behind this blast? Can it be because of the fast 65W charging that is being used on most high-end devices these days? Do let us know your opinions in the comments section below.
