Now, Xiaomi has revealed that the Mi 11 series will be unveiled on 28th December making it the first smartphone to come packed with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. Xiaomi and its sub-brands had a great year with a handful of launches around the globe. While we are not certain about this series until November but halfway through seems like a flood gate has opened as the leaks started pouring in.

From the very beginning, the only confirmed information we have about the Mi 11 is that it will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset out of the box. Later, there were a few speculations that the device might come with a full-screen display without notches or pop-ups of any sort. As the Chinese giant has confirmed that they are working on their third-generation under-display camera tech which will be mass-produced and commercialized in 2021.

But in counter to that, the recently leaked tempered glass of Mi 11 confirms that the device will come with a small punch-hole cut out for the front-facing camera. The camera cut-out is found in the top left corner which is a similar design found on the Mi 10 series of devices like Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, and the Extreme edition. Also, the cut-out confirms that the device only comes with a single front-facing camera. Also, the Mi 11 comes with a curved display around the four corners of the device. It practically sounds impossible, but we have seen Huawei P40 Pro with a similar design.

As for the optics, the device is expected to carry a triple rear camera setup. A few leaks suggest that the device will use only a 50 MP camera contrasting the 108 MP shooter found on its predecessors. While we are not sure whether Xiaomi will possibly downgrade its cameras, at least on paper, but we will have to wait to know how they pan this whole thing out! Reports also suggest that the top variant in the Mi 11 series will feature a Samsung 2K AMOLED display and have support for a 120 Hz refresh rate.

The top variant of the device is expected to come with 120W ultra-fast charging and the normal variant comes with 55W fast charging. As for the optics, the cameras are stacked in a unique camera alignment. The layout will also have gradient colors with a chamfered bump. The Mi 11 series is expected to follow the basics and a similar strategy to the predecessor.

Mi 11 series boasts a premium design and the company does not compromise on specifications and other features. From the leaked images and renders, the device seems to retain the glass design and all the current-gen flagship features. Recently, some of the specifications of the Mi 11 are leaked through the GeekBench listing.

Mi 11 passed through the Geekbench with the same Snapdragon 888 Soc and the Adreno 660 handles the graphic duties here. The device appeared with 12 GB of RAM. The device might also be made available in an 8 GB RAM variant for its base variant. The device runs Android 11 out of the box and of course, will be grounded on MIUI 12. Do note that, not all the aforementioned information or the features are confirmed by the company. This article is based on leaks and at the end of the day leaks should be taken with a grain of salt.
