Oppo A16 Launched In India At Rs. 13,999, Comes With 6.52-inch Display, Helio G35, And 5000mAh Battery

Oppo has just launched the all-new A16, the company’s latest entrant in their A-series of budget smartphones in the country. The Oppo A16 would be the successor to the A15 that was launched last year. The smartphone features a 6.52-inch Water Drop notch display, is powered by the Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G35 chipset coupled with 4 GB RAM. Let’s have a detailed look at the smartphone. 

The smartphone has a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch, a maximum brightness level of 480 nits, a screen to body ratio of 88.7%, and a 71% NTSC colour gamut score. Under the hood of the smartphone lies a MediaTek Helio G35 chipset based on the 12nm architecture coupled with IMG PowerVR GE8320 graphics unit. The smartphone features 4GB LPDDR4X RAM, and 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage which can be expanded up to 256 gigs. The smartphone runs on ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11. The A16 comes with a triple sim slot with support for a dedicated microSD card. 

The smartphone arrives with a triple rear camera setup with the main camera being of 13MP with f/2.2 aperture. You also get a 2MP Macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor, both with f/2.4 aperture. You get a single front camera of 8MP with an f/2.0 aperture for taking amazing selfies. The Oppo A16 smartphone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated in the power button. The company has retained the 3.5mm headphone jack and also has support for FM radio.

In terms of connectivity options, the smartphone supports dual 4G VoLTE on both sims, Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, GPS, and GLONASS. The phone makes use of a USB Type-C port which is used for charging the battery, as well as wired file transferring. The smartphone draws its power from a 5,000 mAh battery that offers a decent battery life.

The Oppo A16 will be offered in two colour variants in the country: Crystal Black, and Pearl Blue. The smartphone carries a price tag of Rs. 13,999 and is already up for sale on Amazon.in.
