Samsung Galaxy M22

Samsung has been teasing the next entrant in its M-series of smartphones, the Galaxy M22 for the past few months, and the wait is finally over. The Samsung M22 is now listed on the official website of Samsung Germany. Some of the main highlights of the device include a 48 MP quad rear camera setup, a higher refresh rate screen, a long-lasting battery, and a beautiful display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The Galaxy M22 seems to be a rebranded version of the Samsung A22. Let’s have a look at the smartphone in greater detail.

The first thing you will notice on the Samsung M22 is its 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with an HD+ resolution of 720×1600 pixels. One of the major upgrades Samsung has provided to the M22 is the inclusion of a 90Hz higher refresh rate screen. The notch on the top houses a 13 MP camera for selfie shots. On the rear end, you get a quad-camera module in a square layout with the main 48 MP sensor. You also get an 8 MP ultrawide shooter with a field of view of 123 degrees. In the end, you get a 2 MP depth sensor, and a 2 MP shooter for macro shots.

The Galaxy M22 is powered by the octa-core Helios G80 chipset with a clock speed of 2 GHz that was also used on the Galaxy A22 smartphone. The chipset is coupled with 4 GB RAM, and 128 gigs of internal storage space. The M22 runs on Android 11 based One UI out of the box.

The Galaxy M22 draws its power from a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. In terms of connectivity options, the phone supports dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi 5, a microSD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, a USB Type-C port, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor mounted on the power button.

The Samsung Galaxy M22 would be offered in three color variants: Black, White, and Blue. As of now, Samsung has not revealed the official pricing of the Galaxy M22. Stay tuned for more updates.
